This MBA is intended for holders of Bac + 4/5 Degree (Master 1 or 2), DEA, DESS, Master, IEP, IUP; graduate of Business School or equivalent foreign degree, as well as young professionals, managers or similar, depending a validation of professional experience who are wishing to direct their career in Hotels and Luxury Brands Communication.

MBA candidates from different academic and vocational areas who do not have any management trainings must follow a session of prerequisite courses in the areas of management:
The objective is to gain a first understanding of the concepts and methodologies used in the field of Business Management and  communication including business English before starting the MBA program.

Individually or in a team, the workshops allow the students work on real cases proposed by companies, consulting firms and by the Executive Committee:

  • Profession intervenor,

  • Case studies of actual working situation.

The workshops allow practical approaches and professional courses, an extension of the program by addressing issues related to the new environment of Business.


Thanks to workshops students have the opportunity to study real cases and business situations submitted by companies, consulting firms, and by the Executive Committee either individually or in groups:

  • Case studies and synthesis workshops,
  • Experimentation and discussion labs,
  • speakers from the business sector,
  • Conferences and field trips,
  • Case studies of real cases and business situations

Workshops will offer participants the opportunity to gain practical knowledge and to develop a professional approach to their learning. Programs are designed to include corporate environment and current event related topics (business news).


By practicing the Business world and European companies, analysing of Business problems in the EU community, the proposed program fits the identified needs according to the personal projects of European management of the participants. Actual cases studies are conducted in collaboration with our associated centers and the network of Chambers of Commerce and the ECMU business partners in the European Union countries.

European workshops:

Delivered in Brussels, Milan, London by the business leaders, academics, senior European officials and personalities from the world on International Affairs, the conferences and lectures are conducted in French and English.
Visits to European institutions and companies are organised during the seminars.

These seminars and workshops are sanctioned by a "Certificate of Proficiency in European Competences", issued by ECMU.


European Union or International - 6 Months / (Connected together by our placement service)

The professionalism mission in business can integrate theoretical and application techniques. For a minimum 6 months, given to the students on behalf of a French or foreign establishment, this mission may include various topics, such as:

  • Launching of a new product or activity,
  • Market study,
  • Event's project creation,
  • Reorganisation of a service,
  • Implementation of a touristic establishment in a foreign country
  • Opening of new European and international markets...

All areas of international activity can be chosen, but the objective of the mission must be concrete and allowing students to practice their knowledge acquired during their course. They also could show initiative, reflection, judgement and a decission-making abililty. It also allows the participants refining their career plans. Our employment and internship office looks for the internships and missions based on the professional projects of the candidates and put them in touch with the companies in need.
Note that the professional mission allows a high rate of placement of the future graduates.

Professionalism mission is subjected to a professional repport writing. European Bachelor is validated after the professional memoirs defense by a jury composed of lecturers and business professionals.


Management Training: Management trainings enable the participants to set up a consultancy at European and International levels.

The Consultancy Project and Professional Thesis The Consultancy project is the keystone of the International MSc program. Two partners, the participant, the company or Consulting Cabinet work together to develop and finalize the project: audit of the company, the analysis of needs and objectives, strategy of negotiation.

Participant Each project enables the participant to use his analytical skills and to develop solutions and helps the company to define its objectives. Participants are given access to a level of reflection and commitment in the business, evolve in tune with a higher hierarchy: leaders of the company, to whom they submit their conclusions

The Company The Consultancy project gives the company an effective contribution in a specific area. The element that the company seems to most appreciate is the exchange of ideas within a team of internal managers and external contributors. The companies expect the participants, assisted by a Project Director to reach the level of a consulting firm. The Consultancy Project is an opportunity to carry out an analysis on a fairly long period. Due to lack of time, only few decision makers are able to do such an analysis. Project Consultancy is also an opportunity for the company to evaluate potential candidates under unique conditions. Each participant works under the coordination of a Project Director, Professor consultant. All participants must follow the project management course, (which provides them with a work methodology) in order to prepare the Project Consultancy.

Professional Thesis The Consultancy Project shall be written up and submitted in the form of a Thesis The professional thesis covers both study and research. This thesis is the final project and leads to MSc degree.

Placement & career


The graduates of IEMI benefit the experience of 40 years of professional network group, while studying. Meetings are organised with prospective employers, under the form of "employment's day". Many companies send representatives to the center each year to meet and to interview prospective graduates for the recruitment. Also the professional mission allows a high rate of placements of the graduates. Currently, the graduates represent an important international network occupying the most senior positions around the world.  They are the ambassadors who allow the approval of the international training, thanks to their different nationalities and professional skills.


With this concrete service and professional education, our students quickly obtain their first job, either by mostly continuing with the company they worked at during the intership, or through the information sessions and trading career seminars for the companies.

In addition, an employment bulletin is distributed at the institute each month, and a quarterly newsletter is sent to companies internationally.


At IEMI we believe that helping the participants to manage their careers and to develop their personality is an essential part of the MBA program. During their studies, participants are supervised by the coaches specialised in personal development and group dynamics. The goal is to identify a most appropriate career, to define their professional goals, and to develop career plans; by helping to develop a CV and cover letters, preparing for interviews, develop a personal development plan, optimised the personal and interpersonal potentials.

The Development Council Department of MBA helps you to define your project and build your career throughout your MSc program, during the search of an employment, during your professional thesis and after your MBA.

The proposed guidence and supports throughout the course - starting with a professional mission, business intelligence, and an employment search - are prepared during the workshops:

The MBA / Executive MBA is designed for graduates of Bac + 4 / 5, Master 1 or 2, or holders of a DEA, DESS, Masters, Bachelors or the equivalent foreign degree and managers according to the validation of professional and experienced managers.

Prerequisites Management course:

Students who did not receive training in management, may be offered a full or partial pre-requisite courses in: Management, marketing, accounting, economics, Management Information Systems.

IEMI has established a financial support system for its programs adapted to the different financial situations of candidates:


  • The school has a privileged partnership with LCL. The bank offers an outstanding "Entrepreneurship" loan.
  • On the other hand, you can use the web platform. From a development of your application to finding the best bank offers, financetesetudes will assist you throughout the loan process.


The Conseil Europe Service Department at our Institute provides several offers of temp work - jobs that fit in with your study timetables.


Gratuities received during training courses or on in-company placements are received by students depending on the skills and experience of the candidates, and particularly graduates.


In addition, the salaries and studies costs borne may be allocated to the continuing training budget: Fongécif (the Individual Training Leave Management Fund), Regions and Departements Grants and Allowances, the ANPE (French National Employment Agency), ASSEDIC (the French Unemployment Insurance Agency), CNASEA (National Centre for the Development of Agricultural Holdings Structures) and the CMPA.

Every year, under the framework of agreements with the ECMU and Geneva CMI, the European professional studies solidarity fund awards IEMI students honorary grants in agreement with international corporates.


This is a credit of 20 training hours per year which can accumulated over 6 years up to a limit of 120 hours. The training takes place during working hours unless other arrangements have been made, and the cost is borne by the employer subject to certain terms. Training hours completed outside working hours are paid for by the employer to the sum of 50 % of the net reference remuneration. During the working hours, the salary is maintained subject to the usual conditions. The employer can assign training costs to its contribution to the continuous training development.


This enables one year of full-time training to be completed, or 1,200 part-time hours, and enables you to return to your position or an equivalent position upon completion. The financing body covers 80 % to 90 % of the salary (and up to 100 % if this is less than two times the level of the SMIC (index-linked guaranteed minimum wage). It can also partly or fully reimburse training, transport and accommodation costs, in accordance with the rules it has determined. The employer may (or may not) decide to finance the remuneration and the remaining costs.
